EuropeWave 2nd Annual Conference

28 March 2023

The second edition of the annual conference of EuropeWave was held on 28 March 2023 in Brussels and online by the EuropeWave project consortium.

This first session was a policy update from Matthijs Soede - the ocean energy lead within the DG Research and Innovation at the European Commission, and the presentation of the five successful Phase 2 projects, highlighting the lessons learnt from Phase 1 and their Phase 2 progress.

For the second session, Tim Hurst, Managing Director of Wave Energy Scotland, shared the latest findings from their study on the potential of the floating wind and wave energy. Donagh Cagney, policy director at Ocean Energy Europe, introduced the European funding landscape.
